Suomi-Koti Retirement Home in Toronto

Suomi-Koti Toronto was looking to add bright colour, design, style and pizzaz to their Alzheimer's Dining Room. The small dining room required chairs and tables that maximized comfort and space.

Sirkka Suvilaakso's vision was realized with Snowball 3 Chairs and Spec Tables with low profile weighted disc bases. The vibrant vinyl seats act as identifiers for each diner. The result shows how you can create a happy dining space anywhere! Thank you Sirkka and Juha for the opportunity!

Good morning,

Please find attached a couple pics of the new sofas we received on Friday June 10^th. They look wonderful and have many healthcare features that are needed for Infection Prevention and Control. The legs make them easy to clean under for our staff. They provide safety for our housekeeping staff as they do not have to move them to clean underneath. Although they are firm to sit on, the residents have an easier time getting up from the sofas because they do not sink into the cushions. The fact that the staff can use a variety of our in-house cleaning supplies on them makes it easy to ensure they are cleaned properly whether it is under normal use or outbreak conditions. The cleanout feature between the back and seat so debris does not get caught in the crevices is a bonus for saving time for cleaning staff and an IPAC positive feature as well. Recognizing that some of our residents are prone to incontinence and they can again, be cleaned easily and the design makes for fluid to roll off the cushions is another bonus.

The colour is beautiful. I want to thank you so much for your assistance during the purchasing and selection process. The future will tell how they stand the test of time.

Would you please supply us a quote for the purchase of 3 more of the exact same? This will be to complete the replacement of our sofas in all 10 of our houses.
